We’re rolling out the announcements over the course of the school year. Today, we’re kicking things off with our biggest announcement first…
Starting today, schools can sign up online to get any application in the SWIS Suite, and they can do it with or without the help of a certified SWIS Suite facilitator.
We know the SWIS Suite works best when a facilitator helps you implement it. We also know our original model meant that without a facilitator, schools couldn’t subscribe to the SWIS Suite at all. This excluded a lot of schools from using the best decision-making system available.
We’re removing that barrier today.
The SWIS Suite Facilitator
We don’t make a change like this without a lot of thought and reflection. Our facilitators are part of the PBISApps family; we appreciate and respect the work they do in schools. From the first day we released SWIS in 1999, facilitators have played an important role in our organizational commitment to data integrity, security, and accessibility within the applications we support. That partnership doesn’t end!
All schools can still sign up for any of the applications in the SWIS Suite with the help of a facilitator. By giving schools the option to sign up on their own, we can extend our reach to work with schools in places where SWIS Suite facilitators aren’t readily available.
While subscribing to the SWIS Suite no longer requires a facilitator, facilitator certification is still valuable. You will continue to be the first to know about the latest and greatest updates we have in store. You will continue to be certified to support any school subscribing to and implementing the SWIS Suite.
If you’ve been on the fence about attending any of our facilitator certification trainings, now is the time to register. Any certification training you attend throughout the 2024-25 school year is just $200 each. That’s 50% off the regular registration fee! Facilitator certification trainings are 2-day, online events where you learn everything you need to know about how to use the applications, analyze data with precision, and lead school-level teams through their decision-making process. SWIS Suite facilitators are incredible resources for district-level implementation and the on-going support every school needs. Upcoming trainings are filling up fast. Without a facilitator, schools need alternative ways to learn about incorporating data into their decision making. We’ve got that covered, too. Our growing library of online, self-guided training courses teach you how these applications support the work you do as a team. We designed these courses specifically with you in mind. These self-guided modules aren’t the only way for you to get the training you’re looking for. We offer free online webinars every month led by one of our PBISApps trainers to help you dive deeper into SWIS Suite functions like using the Drill Down Tool to identify problems with precision, integrating applications with your larger student information system, and enabling paperless referral workflows for your account.
